Valentine Ideas and Treats

Enrichment was another wonderful success. It is so great to get away from all of our "to-do" lists and just enjoy being women and being together.
During the evening we learned how to make our own fortune cookies taught by Jennifer Farley. She did a great job giving us tips and tricks to do something special for those we care about.
Erin Rivard put together a presentaion that taught us how to make cake pops. What a quick and wonderful way to show someone we care.
And to top off the evening Jerilyn gave us another wonderful overview on how to use our powder milk in our food storage. She has incredible recipes that will help you use that powder and rotate through it. No more dreading opening a can with her help!!!
Thank you to all those who came out and to the wonderful ladies who helped pull off the night. A special shout out to the priesthood who helped with the kids so the women could enjoy an evening together.

Fun Little Something Of The Week

Alright, here is something that maybe you can try for your next FHE if you have little kids. If you don't, think about maybe making them for another family and bringing it to them just because!

Bake cupcakes directly in an ice-cream cone. This is so much more fun and easier for kids to eat!

Fun Little Something Of The Week

I thought maybe this week I would share some of my favorite quotes that would inspire us, motivate us, or maybe just bring us some humor. Hope you enjoy!

If you can’t make it better, you can laugh at it – Erma Bombeck.

I don’t think of all the misery but of the beauty that still remains. – Anne Frank.

You grow up the day you have your first real laugh at yourself – Ethel Barrymore.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. - Maya Angelou.

I can get sad, I can get frustrated, I can get scared, but I never get depressed – because there’s joy in my life.
Michael J. Fox

Every women has inside of her a piece of good news. The good news is that you don’t know how great you can be! How much you can love! What you can accomplish! And what your potential is! – Anne Frank.

A woman can say more in a sigh than a man can say in a sermon. ~Arnold Haultain

Fun Little Something Of The Week

I promised a fun little something every week and I will hold myself to that promise. So this week is a tip that I found to be most usefull being a mother of little children. How often are you cleaning your wooden furniture just to find a new scratch on it caused by a child, a dog, a husband, the vacuum or just by being in the way (its never our fault, right)!!! Well a solution that I have tested and is proved to work is just as so: Rub a walnut over the furniture and it will disguise those dings and scrapes. Try it, you may just be amazed!!!

Relaxation Station

It was a hit. After those hectic holidays, our sisters came and conquered the techniques of relaxation. Our Relief Society Meeting board really put on a great night full of tips and tricks and mingling and laughter. What more could you ask for. We want to give special thanks to Sister Pope who came out and taught those great massages we could use and share with our families. Such great tips to better our lives...which I know we all could use every now and then...am I right??

New Start

We are hoping that this blog will help us as sisters to keep udated on the newest events and things that are happening with our Relief Society. As the new blog we will include birthdays each month and important events for that month. The blog will be updated once a week with something new, tips on housekeeping and organizing, great quotes, amazing recipes or maybe just something to brighten your day! We hope to have you visit the blog regularly so we can all stay in tune to our doings!

So let us start with something new for this week. After Christmas we always have so much wrapping paper and if you're like me, you have lots anyway from wedding, to birthday, to baby, to christmas. So what to do with all that paper. Here is a tip to organize that. Use wire to organize that paper up on the ceiling or off to the side in a closet instead of having it cluttering the floor!
